New Study Reveals Surprising Facts About ACL Injuries

Anyone can suffer a knee injury at almost any age. Treatment doesn't alwyas mean surgery. ACL surgery is optional if the alternate is right for your goals.

Torn meniscus or MCL ijnuries are the most prevalent in the US.

Knee injuries are not restricted to contact sports only, they can happen in most high intensity sports with bursts of movement.

Top 5 Tips for MCL Injury Prevention

Quad strengthening exercises, glute strengthening exercise, wearing knee support and tapping joints before long sessions of activities like practices and games. Pick a work out 3 days before you game and go on the field prepared!

Navigating Mental Health during Injury Recovery.

There are many healing modalities beyond traditional medicine that can provide deep and lasting peace of mind. Sound healing using specific sound frequencies has been very effective in pain management and speeding up healing.

With current advances in imaging technology your diagnoses should not stop at an X-Ray. Make sure your Doctor is scheduling an MRI for more in-depth anaylsis an there are also scopes that can be used for imaging. Although the scope process usually occurs during surgery.

Pharmacist and Patient

Taking Opioids Safely
 

Following knee replacement surgery, correct pain management is very important. Your doctor will guide you and recommend the doses for each prescribed medicine. These will likely include about 10 days worth of Opioids.

I'm not doctor but I will take you through my experience and how I tapered off the Opioids as soon as possible.
